What is the difference between HIAB hire and crane hire?

A HIAB is a truck-mounted crane on an HGV. The crane and vehicle arrive together at your site — no separate crane transport is needed. Traditional mobile cranes require their own low-loader transport and a larger setup area. HIAB hire is typically faster to mobilise, has a smaller site footprint and is more cost-effective for most commercial lifting jobs.

Do you supply an operator with the HIAB?

Yes, always. All our HIAB crane hire is operated hire. Every booking includes a certified operator. We do not offer dry hire of HIAB trucks. Operated hire means you get the right person for the job — not just the equipment.

What HIAB models do you have?
