The Ultra Low Emission Zone in London covers virtually the entire Greater London area and applies to heavy vehicles around the clock, every day of the year.
For heavy vehicles such as HIAB trucks and lorries, compliance with the ULEZ requires meeting the Euro VI standard for diesel vehicles. Our fleet meets this standard in full, meaning we can operate anywhere within Greater London — including the city centre, the City, Canary Wharf and every borough east, south and west — without incurring the daily non-compliance charge.
This matters for London-based clients because a non-compliant HIAB operator will either be unable to serve you within the ULEZ boundary, or will pass a daily charge of up to £100 per vehicle on to you as a surcharge. With HIAB Transport, neither of those outcomes applies.

Will I be charged an emission zone surcharge?
No. Because our vehicles comply with the relevant emission standards, we do not incur daily charges when operating within these zones. We do not add surcharges to our invoices. The price we quote is the price you pay.
Can you deliver into central London?
Yes. Our Euro VI vehicles comply with both the London Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) and the London Low Emission Zone (LEZ) for heavy vehicles. We can operate freely throughout Greater London, including central London, the City, and all outer boroughs.
What is Euro VI and why does it matter?
Euro VI is the current European heavy vehicle emission standard, introduced progressively from 2013 onwards. It sets strict limits on nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM) emissions. Vehicles meeting Euro VI produce dramatically lower levels of harmful emissions than older Euro III, IV or V vehicles. Every UK charging zone and the London ULEZ use Euro VI as the compliance threshold for heavy diesel vehicles.
Does emission compliance affect your pricing?
Our investment in a Euro VI fleet is part of our operational cost base. It is not an add-on charged to clients. We do not surcharge for zone entry, ULEZ compliance or LEZ compliance. If you are obtaining quotes from multiple HIAB operators, it is worth confirming whether their vehicles comply, as non-compliant operators may add daily charges that significantly increase the final cost of the job.
