Large hot tubs can weigh over a tonne and need to end up in positions inaccessible by hand — behind extensions, over conservatories, onto raised decking. HIAB hire solves this.
Why You Might Need a HIAB for a Hot Tub
- No side gate wide enough to walk the tub through
- The tub needs to go over a conservatory or extension into a rear garden
- The tub needs to be lifted onto a raised deck or platform
- Changes in level make hand-rolling impossible
- The manufacturer recommends crane placement for their model
What Happens on the Day
Our operator arrives and carries out a brief site assessment — checking truck positioning, outrigger footprint, and overhead obstacles (power lines are the main check). The hot tub is lifted with straps or a spreader bar and lowered into position. A straightforward placement typically takes under two hours.
What to Prepare
- Confirm the tub has suitable lifting points with your supplier
- Clear the route from road to placement area as much as possible
- Identify any overhead cables
- Have the base or pad ready to receive the tub
We Work with Private Individuals
Unlike some operators who only work with trade clients, we are happy to help homeowners with single jobs — hot tubs, garden offices, modular structures, or anything that needs a HIAB. No job is too small.
